We’re giving event organizers full control over how pending meetings affect participants’ calendars, unlocking new levels of flexibility for curated meetings, open networking, and everything in between.
This powerful update lets you decide, via a simple toggle in your dashboard, whether pending meetings should block calendar availability for attendees. It's a smarter, more modern approach to meeting management that helps increase conversions, prevent schedule gridlock, and maximize event value.
Until now, pending meetings blocked time for both parties - even if neither had confirmed the request. This often caused confusion, missed opportunities, and unnecessary limits on how many meetings attendees could request or receive.
With our new Pending Meeting Time Blocking Controls, you decide what’s best for your event:
Protect your curated programs by blocking time as soon as a meeting is requested
Encourage more networking by allowing open availability until a meeting is accepted
Mix and match based on user type, meeting type, or event phase
You’re in control - no workarounds, no manual clean-up.
💬 More Requests, Less Friction
Participants can send and receive multiple meeting requests in the same time slot, freeing them to explore more opportunities without hitting dead ends.
🧠 Smarter Time Slot Selection
Rather than showing only mutually available times, we now:
Highlight time slots that are truly free
Flag time slots with pending meeting conflicts
Warn attendees when they’re choosing an overlapping time
📍Focus on Meeting Location
Feedback has shown that attendees are more often concerned with where a meeting is taking place than exactly when. We've not only made the meeting location the first choice during meeting booking, but we've added a new option for 'Any' meeting location for those that just want to cut to the chase.
📅 Clear Conflict Management
With new clashing meeting alerts and a “Meeting Clashes” filter in My Schedule, attendees can instantly view, manage, and resolve conflicts.
🔁 Automatic Prompts to Rebook
Once a meeting is accepted, the system prompts participants to reschedule any other clashing pending meetings - ensuring that no opportunities are lost.
⭐ Better Rescheduling Experience
Rescheduling meetings is a common and necessary part of meeting management. To make this easier, we've streamlined the process, requiring fewer taps to finish the task, and provided clear reasons to attendees as to why they should reschedule a clashing meeting when required.
✅ Create a more dynamic and responsive scheduling experience
✅ Increase the number of successful connections at your event
✅ Empower attendees to take charge of their schedules with confidence
✅ Reduce support tickets related to confusing or blocked time slots
This is meeting management, built for the way real events work - fluid, participant-first, and optimized for outcomes.
