Multi-language registration auto-mapping

Make Multi-language integrations a breeze

Managing translated data just got smarter 🌍. We’re upgrading how incoming registration data maps to your custom field values, so the system can automatically recognize what you've set up in the dashboard, even across multiple languages.

What was the issue?

Until now, custom field values submitted during registration had to exactly match what was set in your dashboard. If there were differences between your registration data (across any language), it wouldn’t display in the event.

This caused:

  • 🔍 Hidden or missing profile data

  • 🛠 Manual cleanup work for organizers

  • 🧩 Extra complexity in multi-language event setups

Even if the correct translations existed in the dashboard, they weren’t matched unless they were an exact duplicate of the incoming value in order to prevent badly-formatted profiles.

What’s changing?

We’re bringing the smart matching logic from the dashboard data uploader directly into the registration pipeline. Now, when registration data comes in, the system will:

  • 🌐 Use the basic English values to automatically work out which data is meant to be assigned.

  • Auto-assign the correct value from your dashboard setup - even if translation data is missing.

This applies to all registration sources, without any extra configuration. All you need to do is decide in advance what the correct data in Grip should be and upload it in bulk to the Grip Engage dashboard.

Why it matters

  • Introduction of support for multi-language events even in Native Integrations

  • Less time spent manually fixing or mapping values

  • Smarter automation with fewer hidden fields

  • Cleaner, more consistent event data from the start

This improvement helps ensure your event data is clean, consistent, and multilingual-ready.

Rolling out soon across all registration sources

This enhancement is part of our ongoing work to streamline integrations and deliver a smarter, more flexible event platform 💡.
